At Yak Academy, we’re proud of the highly conducive language acquisition environment we’ve created for kids. We all know kids love to play, right? Well, the best way to teach children to learn a language (including their native tongue) is to immerse them in an environment where they’re interested in what’s going on. Putting children in practical situations, like playing a familiar game or eating a snack, helps them learn what the pros refer to as ‘functional language chunks.’ In fact, immersion students reach higher levels of language proficiency than students in other school-based language programs.
