Yak Academy Redondo Beach, a language center for children is always in search of instructors who are passionate about teaching language and culture to children!
Required Qualifications: - Passionate about working with children (Direct experience preferable) - Native speaker in Spanish or Mandarin - High-energy and positive attitude - Reliable transportation - General schedule flexibility during either mornings or afternoons -Part-Time ONLY, Independent Contractor -CPR, First Aid Certification is preferred - Early Childhood Education Credits/Degree preferred.
Yak Academy offers foreign language classes to children ages 1-9. The class is play-based, and runs 60 to75 minutes. Classes are full immersion (i.e. taught completely in the target language). We are looking for dynamic, native-speaking or fully fluent individuals who love working with children! Yak Academy develops its own curriculum and provides training on its teaching methodologies and lessons.
As Instructor, you will be responsible for leading weekly children's classes in our learning center and at locals schools or community centers. Classes use games, crafts, songs, movement and more to teach the language. Yak Academy provides curriculum, including themes, activities and materials.
