At Yak, we are proud of the highly conducive language acquisition environment we have created for kids.   We think the best way to learn a language is to be immersed in it while having fun. Fun changes at each age level--this could be blowing bubbles for the infants to drama for the older kids.

Yak Academy was founded by parents just like you and a team of early childhood development and foreign language experts.  So, we feel pretty confident that you will find a program that meets the developmental needs of your children whether they’re babies, toddlers, preschoolers or elementary school age.

Parent & Me Classes
with Ms. Blanca
Mondays 3:45-4:45pm

For children ages 0-2.5 years, we offer classes with a caregiver. Classes are an hour minutes long. We begin each class playing with toys.  This gives everyone a chance to play and get comfortable. For the rest of the time, we play, sing, and dance in the target language. From the time they’re born, babies are learning language–naturally! The youngest brains are primed to learn, and our native-speaking teachers immerse them in their language and culture.

3 - 5 & 6-12 Years Old

Monday and Wednesday, Thursdays and Saturdays

Our classes are designed for kids who are ready for independent learning. We play games, do crafts, sing and move–all in language. Our curriculum focuses on practical everyday language with new, fun units every 2 weeks. Each class is 75-minutes and include games, art, music and movement. Classes are designed to teach communication skills and practical language.

For elementary-school children,
​from K to 6th grade, our focus continues to be on practical, everyday communication.  Our first emphasis is on building practical skills.  As the students get older, we add reading and writing, too.  Even big kids learn best, and stay motivated, when they’re having fun.  We teach the national language learning standards through games, drama, art and music.
